Add images from the Canva library

Search or browse the Canva library to find images for your design.

  1. From the editor side panel, select
    Elements.
  2. Use the Search elements bar to find an image, or browse available categories.
  3. Browse the results to find an image.
  4. Select an image to add it to your design.

Generate images from a prompt with Canva AI or Magic Media:

Replace image in a design

  1. Select the image you want to replace (including an image in a frame or grid).
  2. From the editor toolbar, select Replace.
  3. In the side panel, select an image from
    Uploads, or
    Photos.

Designs can have up to 1,400 total images. Premium photos are tagged with a

crown icon. Access an extended library of premium images for free with a Canva Pro, Canva Teams, Canva Education, or Canva for Nonprofits account.
